Your child's dental health care begins right after birth. We can assess your newborn's mouth and jawbones to ensure their baby teeth are growing properly. Once the baby teeth start to emerge, we can assist with teething advice and also check to ensure that the baby teeth are healthy and properly aligned. It's also beneficial to bring children to the dentist at a very young age so they become familiar with the dental office environment. As children's permanent teeth begin to grow in, we begin dental education and regular hygiene appointments. During this time we educate children on good dental health, and we assess their teeth to ensure they are growing in straight. When the permanent teeth are grown in we would begin any necessary orthodontic treatment. We also continue to check the growth of the adult teeth, particularly the wisdom teeth, which may need to be extracted when your child is a teen.
